Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Kontiro collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Kontiro is not available yet. Right now this website does two things with personal data: it lets you join the waitlist, and it is hosted like any other website. Before the Kontiro app launches we will publish an updated policy that covers it, and we will tell everyone on the waitlist.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Your personal data is controlled by the two founders of Kontiro, who decide together how it is used (joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR):

Adam Hupka and Filip Hupka
Email: hello@kontiro.com

You can contact either of us through this email about anything in this policy. Kontiro is not registered as a company yet. Once it is, we will update this policy with the company’s details.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer because the law does not require us to. For anything about your data, write to the email above.

2. What we collect and why

If the waitlist closes and you have not created an account, we delete it within 12 months.

You do not have to give us any personal data to use this website. Joining the waitlist is voluntary. If you do not give us your email address, we simply cannot invite you.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels, and it does not store anything on your device. Our fonts are served from our own domain.

Two small profile photos used as examples on the page are loaded from Unsplash (images.unsplash.com). When your browser loads them, Unsplash receives your IP address, as with any website you visit. We do not control that processing; see Unsplash’s privacy policy.

If we ever add analytics or anything else that stores information on your device and is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, under a data processing agreement, and only as far as they need to provide their service:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers this website and protects it from attacks.
  • Loops (Loops.so, Inc.) stores the waitlist and sends our waitlist emails.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a court or public authority.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare and Loops are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict how we use your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format and have it sent to someone else;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
  • withdraw your consent at any time. Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link, or you can write to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before.

To use any of these rights, email hello@kontiro.com. We will answer within one month. It is free of charge.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or where you think the problem happened. Our lead supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), keep access to personal data limited to the people who need it, and choose providers with strong security practices.

8. Children

Kontiro is a tool for professionals. This website is not meant for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data we already have, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
